Removable access panel for future reno?

House is old and plumbing is a mess. Planning to open walls later for repiping, so I want access panels now that I can remove/replace easily without wrecking the drywall again. Any that are reusable?

Reusable panels are worth it if you know more work is coming. Look for ones where the frame stays in place and only the door pops out—makes future access simple. The model I installed uses plastic clips instead of permanent screws on the door, so you can take it off and put it back dozens of times without damage. It’s thick enough to stay rigid too. After painting you can’t even tell it’s there until you push the corner. I bought a very solid access panel for drywall and it’s already saved me from cutting new holes twice. Great for old houses.
